nwPlus is a hackathon management team at UBC, we host a number of major hackathons for the students across BC during the academic year. I helped create internal tools like a sponsorship form to our sponsorship team to quickly deploy information about our sponsors across multiple nwplus websites and an assessment portal to allow internal team memebers quickly gauge candidates applying to take part in these hackathons.

Organize local video files by tagging them with metadata.
using ffmpeg and ffprobe to tag videos with KV metadata, allowing users to quickly filter and find the video they want.
Aave Bot
using flashloans to frontrun liquidation orders on the mempool.
By liquidating crypto borrowers that have fallen below a 'healthy' collateral. Aave rewards external users that with a portion of the collateral that liquidates the position. We optimized this system by detecting profitable positions in the mempool and calculating if it is profitable to frontrun those orders.

NoisyBoyAlgotrader is an long and short equities trading strategy with dynamic order fulfillment, integrated with Interactive Brokers and Alpaca Brokerage API. Currently running bollinger bands mean-reversion strategy with directional indicators.

YungFantom is a winning submission for the Covalent x Fantom hackthon, YungFantom portrays a vivid reimagination of the traditional digital wallet. Glowing nodes and moving transactions in 3d space demonstrates the interconnectedness of defi interactions.
Imposter [DubHacks 2020]
we gamified productivity
Imposter is a winning submission for the DubHacks 2020 hackthon. As a tools arose to support virtual learning, we saw the need for friends to stay on tasks while working remotely. Imposter creates a Chrome extension that monitors for 'sus' and unproductive sites, alerting all users in the room via Websocket if anyone has been unproductive.
First Hello [nwHacks 2020]
facial recognition networking app
First Hello is a winning submission for the nwHacks 2020 hackathon. We harnessed the power of facial recognition and snapping photos to bring networking to a more conversational and relaxed level. Users could create and deploy their profile under 10 seconds, while recruiters could easily learn about the passions and interests of their talent pool just by snapping their photo (with permission of course!). Through this lightweight app, we aim to connect users and make their first hello feel fun, easy, and natural.
